Water coolers and ice machines for dental practices

Drinking water and ice for a team that barely sits down, plus a cooler by reception for patients. We stay in the staff room and the waiting room.

Dental practices

A dental office runs on people who are on their feet from the first patient of the morning to the last. Hygienists and assistants turn rooms over between patients, the front desk juggles the phones and the schedule, and the doctor moves from chair to chair. The water bottle gets refilled in the gap between cleanings, a cupful of pebble ice disappears at lunch, and hot water makes the afternoon tea. Out front, patients and the parents who drove them sit in the waiting room for a while.

The equipment most practices have for that is tired. Sometimes it's a cooler left by a company that hasn't sent anyone in a long time, so the office manager ends up chasing a ticket number when it starts dripping. Other times somebody grabbed a unit off a store shelf when the practice opened. The filter in it is the one it came with, and no one on the team has time to find out how to change it.

We put a machine on the office's own water line and run that water through reverse osmosis at the machine, stripping out most of the hardness Utah water is known for. The technicians who install it are our employees. We book the upkeep ourselves, and if the machine quits, calling us out costs the practice nothing: we repair it or haul in a replacement. Start with a free week if you'd like proof: out of every hundred businesses that trial one, 98 keep it.

What it needs to do.

  • Water between patients

Clinical staff get a minute or two between appointments. The machine should sit right by the staff room door so a refill takes seconds, not a trip to the kitchen sink.

  • Something for the waiting room

A hot and cold cooler by reception lets patients fill a cup themselves during the wait, without asking the front desk for a favor.

  • An install that stays out of the way

The drinking water machines go in the staff room or the reception area, not the operatories. The install time is planned with you around the patient schedule.

  • Nobody on the team babysitting it

Your office manager already runs the schedule, the billing and the supply orders. Upkeep is ours to remember: we reach out to book a visit every 12 to 18 months and swap the filters during that visit.

Can you also supply purified water for our dental equipment?

That's a separate job from the coolers. The coolers and combo units are for drinking water and ice, and they don't connect to chairs or sterilizers. When a practice needs purified water for equipment, we design a custom RO/DI system for it at a free site visit. Bring the requirements from your equipment's manufacturer or dealer, and our rep builds the system around them.

Can patients use a cooler in our waiting room?

Yes, and plenty of practices put one there. Set by reception, a bottleless cooler lets patients help themselves while nobody at the front desk has to get up. The spot needs plumbing to tap into, somewhere to drain and a power outlet, and our rep checks your reception area for all three during the site visit, which is free.

We have about a dozen people. Do we need one machine or two?

Usually one combo unit in the staff room covers a team that size, with pebble ice and hot water from the same machine. If you also want water out front for patients, a second, smaller cooler goes in the waiting room. Our rep looks at both spaces on one visit and tells you whether the second machine is worth it.

Will the install interrupt patients?

It shouldn't. Our technicians branch a small tube off a water line that's already there, connect a drain, plug in the machine and leave the room as tidy as they found it. The work stays in the staff room or reception, and we set the install time with you so it doesn't land in the middle of a full schedule.

Our practice already has a water cooler from another company. How do we switch?

Ask for a quote by phone or online, and we'll reach out within 1 business day. After a short site visit, our technicians install the new machine, usually in the spot the old one stood, and the old cooler goes back to the company that owns it. We plan the timing so your team isn't left without water in between.

Can our team try it before we decide?

Yes. We install the machine at no charge and leave it for about a week so hygienists, assistants and the front desk can put it through some packed days. After that we check in to hear what the team thinks. 98% of businesses that try one keep it.
