Commercial Water & Ice Systems in Cottonwood Heights

Water coolers and ice machines installed and looked after by our own technicians, about 15 minutes from our shop.

Serving Cottonwood Heights

Cottonwood Heights calls itself the city between the canyons. It spreads across the east bench where Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons open onto the valley, with I-215 tracing its northern edge. Most of its workplaces sit on the lower ground north of the ridge: along Fort Union Boulevard, the city's main commercial street, and up on Cottonwood Parkway, where taller office buildings house corporate and regional teams who get a view of the whole valley from the break room.

Out where 3000 East meets Wasatch Boulevard, the Old Mill office buildings and the office parks around them sit a minute off the freeway, right at the canyon mouths. Back on Fort Union, medical and wellness suites share frontage with banks and shops. Add the recreation center on 2700 East, Brighton High and the other Canyons District schools, and there are a lot of people here who spend the whole day in one building.

From our Salt Lake City shop it's about 15 minutes east on I-215, and whoever comes out is our own technician. Plenty of offices here inherited a cooler from the last tenant, or from a provider that stopped answering. We replace it with a machine that runs your building's water through reverse osmosis, and service calls cost nothing. Use it free for a week; 98% of the businesses that do decide to keep it.

Cottonwood Heights water.

Cottonwood Heights doesn't have one water utility. The city lists two culinary water providers, Salt Lake City Public Utilities and Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, and your address decides which one fills your pipes. Salt Lake City's system starts mostly in the mountains: more than 60 percent comes from Wasatch canyon streams, and its Big Cottonwood treatment plant sits right at the mouth of that canyon on the city's east edge. In summer, deep valley wells fill in, and Salt Lake City notes that well water runs harder. Whichever supplier you're on, the calcium and magnesium end up as white scale on hot tanks and ice machine parts. The reverse osmosis inside each of our machines pulls most of those minerals out, along with the chlorine taste, before anyone fills a glass.

Who supplies the water to businesses in Cottonwood Heights?

It depends on the address. The city lists two providers, Salt Lake City Public Utilities and Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, and neighboring buildings can be on different systems. You don't need to find out before we visit. Our machines purify whatever comes in with reverse osmosis, and we come back every 12 to 18 months to change the filters and check everything over.

Do you also cover Holladay, Midvale, Sandy and the rest of the east side?

Yes. Holladay sits just north, Midvale to the west and Sandy to the south, and all of them are a short drive for the same technicians. Beyond them we cover the entire state. Most service calls are completed the same day, and nearly all the rest the next day, whether your second office is across I-215 or across Utah.

Our office is several floors up in a Cottonwood Parkway building. Can you install a machine there?

Yes. Height doesn't matter much; what we need is a cold water line to tee into, a drain for the reverse osmosis and an outlet, all close to where the machine will stand. Break areas on upper floors usually have all three. We run small tubing, work around the building's rules, and leave the space as clean as we found it. Our rep can walk it with your property manager during the free site visit.

We're opening a medical suite on Fort Union Boulevard. Should the cooler go in the waiting room or the staff room?

Many practices end up with both: a hot and cold bottleless cooler out front for patients, and a combo unit with ice in the back for staff. It comes down to where the plumbing runs and how many people you see in a day. We'll look at both rooms at the site visit and tell you honestly whether one machine will cover it.
