Commercial Water & Ice Systems in Herriman

Serving Herriman
Herriman went from about 1,500 residents in 2000 to more than 55,000 at the 2020 census, and for most of that run the rooftops came first and the workplaces trailed behind. That is changing. Small professional offices now cluster around the Herriman Towne Center and City Hall on Herriman Main Street, often a handful of desks and a kitchenette in a building that is only a few years old.
The bigger build-out is along the Mountain View Corridor. The Commons at Herriman Towne Center, at 13400 South, adds more than 200,000 square feet of stores, and the first dealership in a planned auto mall broke ground this year between Midas Creek and Herriman Boulevard. Up on Sentinel Ridge Boulevard, Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah opened a shared campus in 2023, and the city now has two high schools, Herriman High and Mountain Ridge.
Herriman sits right at the valley's southwest edge, roughly 25 minutes from our Salt Lake City shop. That's an easy run for technicians who are on our payroll rather than a contractor's, and when a machine quits we fix it or swap it at no charge. Just moved into a new space? Let us set a cooler up for a free week once you're in. 98% of businesses that try one keep it.

Herriman water.
Herriman runs its own water system, and its 2025 water quality report lists four kinds of supply: five city wells, a spring, water bought from the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, and water from Bluffdale City. The groundwater is unusually hard. The city's water quality page says local wells usually run 25 to 60 grains per gallon, while Jordan Valley's water is usually 10 to 12, and three of the wells carry enough dissolved solids that the city blends them with district water before delivery. The city is clear that hardness isn't a health hazard. It does build scale quickly on anything that heats or freezes water, and the taste can shift with the blend. Reverse osmosis in each of our machines pulls out most of those minerals, so the water and ice taste the same whatever is coming through the pipe that week.
Typical hardness
City wells usually 25–60 gpg; Jordan Valley water 10–12 gpg (the city blends them)

Why is Herriman's water so hard, and does a cooler fix that?
The city's own wells draw very hard groundwater, usually 25 to 60 grains per gallon by the city's figures, so Herriman blends it with softer Jordan Valley water at 10 to 12. Hard water isn't a health issue, but it scales up machines and gives the water a mineral edge. Our coolers and ice machines purify it with reverse osmosis on the spot, and we come back every 12 to 18 months to change the filters before they wear out.
We're moving into a brand-new building in Herriman. When should we call you?
As soon as you know where the break room is. If the walls are still open, your contractor can leave a cold water line, a drain and an outlet right where the machine will stand, and the install takes very little time. If the space is already finished, that's fine too: we tee off the nearest line. Send us the details and we'll reach out within 1 business day.
We're opening a dealership along the Mountain View Corridor. What should we plan for water and ice?
Usually two spots. Customers waiting on a car want cold and hot water in the lounge, which suits a bottleless cooler or a combo unit. Technicians in the bays go through ice all summer, which is a job for a floor-standing ice machine. Each spot needs a water line, a drain and power, so it's easiest to mark them on the plans early. Our rep can walk the building with you before it opens.
Can the same team cover our other sites in Bluffdale, Riverton or Eagle Mountain?
Yes. Herriman's neighbors, Riverton to the east, South Jordan to the north and Bluffdale to the southeast, are looked after by the same technicians, and Eagle Mountain is just over the county line. We serve the rest of Utah as well, so every location you have can work with the same people and the same phone number.
