Serving American Fork
A lot of American Fork's working day happens on 1100 East. Intermountain's American Fork Hospital anchors that end of town, and the specialty clinic building next to it stacks practice after practice into numbered suites. Nurses, schedulers and front-desk staff in those offices work long shifts and drink a lot of water doing it.
Down by the 500 East interchange on I-15, the city looks different. Utah Valley Business Park fills eight buildings with office tenants, the dealerships along 1000 South and Auto Mall Drive run sales floors and service bays side by side, and the industrial park on 500 East holds flex units and warehouse crews. Closer to the center of town, historic Main Street keeps its brick storefronts and small professional offices.
Our Salt Lake City shop is about half an hour away, a straight run down I-15 past Lehi. The person who shows up at your door is a Water Star technician on our own payroll, and a repair visit never costs you anything: we fix the machine or trade it for one that works. Most service calls are finished the same day, and nearly all of the rest the next. Got a tired cooler from a provider who vanished? Swap in one of ours for a free week. Ninety-eight percent of businesses that try it keep it.

American Fork water.
American Fork City's water is all groundwater: springs that rise in American Fork Canyon and a set of deep wells drawing on the valley aquifer. The city pipes it to storage tanks near the canyon mouth and Cedar Hills and lets gravity carry it down to homes and businesses, adding chlorine to the spring line along the way. The 2025 water quality report doesn't print a hardness number, and Utah groundwater generally runs hard. Hardness is calcium and magnesium, and it's what builds the white crust inside hot tanks and ice bins. Our machines push your building's water through reverse osmosis first, which strips out most of those minerals and the chlorine taste before anyone fills a cup.

Where does American Fork's tap water come from?
From the ground. The city's 2025 report lists two springs, one of them up American Fork Canyon, plus several deep wells, all stored in tanks near the canyon mouth and gravity fed through town. The report doesn't give a hardness figure, though Utah groundwater tends to run hard. Reverse osmosis at the machine takes out most of the minerals, and every 12 to 18 months we come back to service the unit and replace its filters.
We're a practice in the specialty clinic building by the hospital. Can you put a cooler in a staff room inside a suite?
Usually. We need a cold water line to tap into, a drain for the reverse osmosis and an outlet, all close to where the machine will stand. Plenty of suite kitchenettes already have them. The tubing we run is thin, the install is quick, and we leave the room tidy. If the building has rules about plumbing work, our rep can talk it through with the property manager during the free site visit.
Our dealership on 1000 South has a showroom and a service department. Do we need separate machines?
Often, yes, because the two crowds want different things. Shoppers and customers in the waiting area want a cold cup or hot water for cocoa, which a bottleless cooler handles. Techs in the bays come back for ice all afternoon, which is a job for a dedicated ice machine. Our rep will look at both spaces and tell you honestly if one machine would do.
Do you also work in Highland and Cedar Hills?
We do. Highland, Cedar Hills, Lehi, Lindon and Pleasant Grove all border American Fork, and the same technicians drive to every one of them. We also cover the rest of Utah County and the state beyond it, so a company with one office here and another in Provo or Salt Lake can keep a single water company for both.
